About
The fundamentals, done properly
funda.africa is a web agency based in Durban, South Africa, founded by Simili “Magz” Magomba. We build websites for small and growing businesses — then we keep them online, secure and looked after, on one monthly Care Plan.
We started funda because too many small businesses end up with a website that was built once, handed over, and then quietly forgotten — until it breaks, gets hacked, or the domain lapses because nobody remembered to renew it. We think a website should be treated the way you’d treat any other piece of business infrastructure: built well, then maintained properly, for as long as you need it.
How we work
We’re a local team, not an outsourced call centre. When you talk to funda, you’re talking to someone who knows your business and your site — not a ticket queue. We use modern, efficient tooling (including AI-assisted delivery, with every build checked by a real person before it ships) to keep our builds affordable without cutting corners on quality.
We’re based in Durban and serve businesses across South Africa, the wider African continent, and clients around the world — with on-site visits available in partner cities.
Why funda
One Team, One Bill Website, email, domain, hosting and support under one roof — no chasing five different suppliers when something needs fixing.
You Own Your Domain Your domain is registered in your name, always. It’s the single biggest thing small businesses get burned on with agencies — and we build our whole model around never doing that to you. If you ever leave, everything goes with you.
Built, Then Maintained A website isn’t a one-time deliverable. We build it properly, then keep it fast, secure and up to date on a monthly Care Plan — so it’s still working for you a year from now, not quietly rotting.
Local, Real People A Durban team serving South Africa, the wider continent and clients worldwide — with on-site visits in partner cities when you need us in person.
